The Department of Primary Industry has produced a short video featuring two of the NCC Firesticks Project partner properties- Boorabee and the Willows and Wattleridge Indigenous Protected Areas (IPAs). This video shares some of the great work currently underway on the IPAs as the rangers work to remove introduced pests from their country with beneficial effects to the flora, fauna and people of the land. These IPAs are increasingly being acknowledged as exhibiting best practice management of their land using integrated fire, feral and weed management techniques. There is also significant evidence through the ecological monitoring work undertaken through the NCC Firesticks Project over the last 4 years that these properties are critical refuges for a diverse range of threatened species.
