• Northern Rivers Fire and Biodiversity Consortium
    The Northern Rivers Fire and Biodiversity Consortium (NRFABCON) provides a network for land managers and stakeholders seeking a coordinated, landscape level approach to appropriate fire management for biodiversity across the Northern Rivers region. As a key action of the Northern Rivers Regional Biodiversity Management Plan (DECCW NSW 2010), the NRFABCON was formed in August 2011, with its operations focused in the upper north east reaches of the Northern Rivers area of NSW.


  • Australian Indigenous Biocultural Knowledge Website
    This website was produced by the Australian Centre for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (http://www.aceas.org.au) Indigenous biocultural knowledge working group which involved 20 Indigenous and non-Indigenous people from around Australia with a diversity of backgrounds and skills. ACEAS is part of a national initiative called the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (http://www.tern.org.au) which aims to bring together ecologists, land managers and policy makers from around Australia to share information and develop projects and ideas to steer the way forward for ecological research and management in Australia.
