The Indigenous Fire Workshop has developed over the years from successful fire projects in Cape York, and has grown strong from the initiatives of Indigenous communities Australia wide. Each year the workshop is hosted by different clans and country, dealing with different situations and challenges, making the fire workshop special every time it is held. Mulong, Kuku Yalanji Elders, Jabalbina Aboriginal Corporation, Jabalbina rangers, the local community and Cape York NRM are currently planning the workshop agenda for the eighth annual eighth annual Indigenous Fire Workshop.
