Our program is led by Traditional Custodians and First Nations people from North Queensland and across Australia. Across four inspiring days, they will share expertise and innovation in contemporary land and sea management, biodiversity, threatened species management and best practice agriculture.

“The Gathering aims to bring greater awareness and opportunity to broader Australia of the contribution of Indigenous knowledge,” shares Djabugay man Barry Hunter, Chairperson of the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation. “People will learn firsthand how Traditional ecological knowledge and governance can contribute solutions to today’s social and environmental concerns. The Gathering promises to be an inspiring opportunity for people to come together to share knowledge and Culture.”

See you on Djabugay Country in August!
